Description
We are 3 working professionals looking for a 4th housemate.
The house:
Our house is on a quiet street in Whalley Range, It has lots of on street parking and a front and back garden. The house is a 15 minutes walk from Chorlton high street and 15 minutes walk from Firshill tram stop to get into the city centre.
The house is spread over 4 floors, with the kitchen, living room and utility room on the ground floor. Your room would be on the 1st floor and you would share a bathroom on this floor with 1 other housemate. The bathroom has a shower and bath.
Your bedroom is furnished with a double bed, mattress and wardrobe. It has a really nice view of the garden and a large sycamore tree.
The bills for the house are currently working out at around £60 a month per housemate. We are not expecting them to be above £100 each at any point as the house is well insulated.
About us:
Matt and Maisie are a couple. Matt works in consulting and works at home a few days a week. Matt likes bouldering, hiking, history and will never say no to a good pint of bitter.
Maisie is a teacher and likes making her own clothes, gardening and anything else outdoors.
Rose works in tech, but spends a lot of time making art at the weekends and on an evening. Rose likes reading, gardening and local activism.
Our non-negotiables are that our 4th housemate is a professional who works Mon-Fri as we all have busy jobs and enjoy quiet evenings and early nights mid-week.
Our house would best suit someone who does not have lots of their own furniture as it is mostly furnished.
We are looking for someone who is respectful and would like to be part of a friendly house. We respect eachother's space and have our own interests, but we also like to socialise together. We often spend time together in the evenings with a glass of wine, chatting or watching a film.
The house is in a unique situation which is part of the reason that the rent is so reasonable. The landlord (very nice guy) lives in a self-contained cellar-flat for about 20 days of the year. It is very important to the landlord that any tennants are respectful and mature, can get on with the neighbours and generally look after the house.
Please do get in touch if you think this could be you and we can arrange an opportunity for you to view the property and perhaps meet to get to know you.
