Description
One of our flatmates is moving out in August, so we're looking for someone to move in!
ROOM:
The room is well furnished with a bed, a wardrobe, desk, shelves and a large chest of drawers, all of which are high-quality. Being west-facing it gets lots of light, overlooking a courtyard in Withington
HOUSE:
The house is a spacious townhouse in a courtyard back from the main street. There are 3 floors: a living room, toilet and hallway at the bottom; the kitchen, dining room and one of the bedrooms on the middle floor; and the other 3 bedrooms plus a bathroom on the top.
The kitchen has granite surfaces, and the house has good-quality appliances, including a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier and a large fridge-freezer.
At the back of the house there is a stream which runs through the garden, partly covered by a newly built patio. It's a nice space for barbecues and eating al fresco in the warmer months.
Parking is available by resident permit.
The landlord is very helpful and lives close by. House has good transport links with a bus stop for 42 and 142 right outside the house. 30 sec walk to Withington Sainsburys and a 2 min walk to the Christie hospital.
HOUSEMATES:
We're all in full-time employment, and work from home part or all of the time. This is easy because the house is spacious and we're fairly relaxed people. We spend time with each other which often takes place through conversations in the kitchen, and we sometimes cook and eat food together, and are also open to doing activities as a house. That being said we have our own schedules and can all keep to ourselves whenever we feel we need to.
We all like varied types of music and play musical instruments. We're also sort of bookish types and have different interests including in politics/policy, the climate crisis, in psychology & sociology, in computing and in the physical sciences. This is just for your information: you don't have to like these things to be a good housemate.
We keep the communal living areas clean. Everyone is on top of this which makes things easy. We trust that you'll do the same. We are quite sociable and like to have friends over for food/drinks, but we are not a party house.
We all pay a share of council tax (Council Tax Band: E): we are looking for someone also in work to do the same.
Feel free to get in touch, ask us questions and arrange a look around.
