Hello,
I have a tidy double bedroom available in my house with a very comfortable king size bed, a large window allowing plenty of natural light, wardrobe, chest of drawers, 2 bed side tables and under bed storage drawers.
***About me***
I'm a pretty easy going guy, i like being social but appreciate my privacy as well. I split my time between work (carpentry and building), being outdoors (Hiking and exploring), socialising (raves, gigs, some drinks and meals out etc), and music. My musical roots are in metal, nowadays I'm most passionate about various electronic music styles, techno, psytrance, DnB. If any of that clicks with you we'll likely get on well!
- A housemate who will keep my house clean and tidy like i do is an absolute must
***About the house***
The house is spacious and comfortable. It's completely detached and there's very little noise from the surrounding area. There is parking for 3 vehicles out front, at least one space will always be available. I have been living here for almost 4 years and have been refurbishing it almost constantly in that time. Some new features include:
- New carpet on the stairs and the whole top floor
- New double glazing upstairs
- Painting and decorating in every room
- Huge re-adjustment of central heating system to improve efficiency for a warmer house
- Cavity wall and extra roof and wall insulation for a warmer house
- Massive garden overhaul to create new cabin, firepit area, seating area and grass area
Currently the only room which hasnt been refurbished is the bathroom, which I plan to do something with early 2026.
There is a small room upstairs which serves as my office and music studio. There is also an annexe next to the house which used to be the garage and is now my workshop. Both of these areas are off limits to tenants.
Next to the annexe I'm currently building a gym. This will be finished around the start of 2026 and will be available for tenants to use.
All bills are included, this includes 250mps Virgin broadband, and the council tax, which is band D.
***About the area***
- Main road access is great - the house is literally 2 minutes drive from the M4
- Newport train station (and the town center), can be reached by bus, or a 25 minute walk
- A 10 minute walk down Brynglas Road brings you to Malpas road, which has a few corner shops, a petrol station, takeaway places, hairdressers and a few other shops
- There is a large Sainsbury's and Aldi about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the house (10 mins drive)
