We have a unique situation where we have an additional kitchen/diner/lounge in our home & therefore are offering this as a semi-private house share. Our offering means you would have your own ensuite room (brand new ensuite) and your own private kitchen/diner/lounge with small utility. You would have access via your own utility door. The hallways and stairs of the property remain very much shared.

We are couple in our early thirities with no kids - just two springer spaniels! Our dogs come to work with us everyday so you wouldn't see them much in the week but it is essential you like dogs to live with us. We work long hours and are only typically home for a few hours in the weekday evenings to eat and sleep, so you would not see much of us! We will probably keep ourselves to ourselves, but happy to have a chat and help out with life as and when required! Some weekends we will be there, others we will be away most of the weekend.

Work from home is fine, we have fibre internet so you should have good connections. No council tenants etc.

The house is rural so a car (and a love for the outdoors) is essential. Your room will have views over the usk valley and towards the brecon beacons. We have beauitful sunsets most spring and summer evenings. Opposite the house is a footpath into the woods where you can walk peacefully for hours.

We are a 7 minute drive into Usk town centre where there are small grocery shops, butcher, brilliant selection of restaurants and garden centres/farm shop. We are a 3 minute drive to the closest pub! We are also 20 minutes into the centre of Newport for the big shops, cinema, train station etc. The M4 is 15 mins from our house so good location for rural but commutable.

Our house is a 'do-er-upper' so would need someone who can understand and appreciate this. It looks a bit scruffy on the outside whilst we make progress inside on our kitchen/lounge. There will also be occasions where we may be working on (e. g. painting) the communal areas. We have reflected this in the rent price.

We have a cleaner who will clean communial areas and a window cleaner to keep external glass clean.

Off road parking for 1 car.

Pets are welcome but please note the garden is not secure - our dogs are well behaved and know not to leave. Any pets must be friendly towards our dogs. The field next to the house regularly has sheep/horses so your pets must be friendly to these also.

We are hoping to find someone who would like to settle with us for a while and fits into our life.

We are open to Monday - Friday only rent and would drop rentaccordingly.

We will consider couples or renting multiple rooms for parents with visiting/live in children.

All bills included.
