Mon-Fri Only (Single Occ): Large En-Suite Double

MON-FRI and SINGLE OCCUPANCY enquiries ONLY please. I’m not seeking anyone full time, or more than one person, so I’d really appreciate only those people who definitely meet this criteria getting in touch.

Very large double room with its own shower room (downstairs) in a recently extended 3 bed 1930s semi with private garden.

Very homely and spacious house with creature comforts including super fast fibre broadband, NOW, Prime and Netflix! High quality furnishings provided (double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, shelves, bedside tables & lamps). Shared 6.3x4.3m kitchen/diner (fridge/freezer & washing machine), living room (with log burner), and snug (with sofa bed). Fortnightly cleaning included. Large garden with patio on a corner plot. Driveway parking for 2 cars (one space for me) on a road with no restrictions.

Opposite Andover cottage hospital approx 0.5 mile walk from the station in one direction and the same to the Royal Oak pub in Charlton in the other! A Boots pharmacy, Tesco Express, Budgens and garage all a few metres away and town centre is in walking distance (about 20mins) with regular buses (No 4) and easy road access to A303/A34/A30. Winchester and Stockbridge are close by.

I am not looking for a full time (or more than one) lodger. I'd like to find someone who "lives" elsewhere and returns home to their own family at wknds but who needs a more convenient place to be based whilst working away during the week. I want my own space at the weekends to be able to have my own family and friends stay. My spare room would therefore suit a working professional who is contracting in the area and needs a base for Mon-Thurs nights only, but would like something more homely (and far cheaper!) than a hotel.

More generally, I am seeking someone friendly and easy going but who will respect my space and property. Absolutely no smokers - not even those who smoke outside.

I'd prefer a professional, but don't really mind - for me finding the right person and getting on well is more important. That said, I do occasionally go away with my current job, so someone trustworthy, who is clean and tidy and treats it like their own home is what I am looking for. I do things properly with a licence contract and deposit and would prefer a longer term housemate if possible.

I am used to house shares as I had a working week only lodger most of the time in my last flat where I was for 11yrs, and have had four housemates at this house so far. Last chap was here 7mths but was offered a better job contract elsewhere. Available now.
