I am a live In landlord with this being my main and only home. However, I am more often away during the week (travel, work and partner) returning on weekends (often alternative) to be with family and friends who live nearby.

After two and a half years, my current lodger is moving onto a tenancy with a close friend of hers, I am sad to see her go.

Historically I have rented out two rooms. However, my current plan is to continue as I am currently doing, and rent only ONE of the rooms to a single person who wants some peace quiet and a lot of their own space. However, I ‘may’ also consider a M-F lodger too if I can find the right professional person. If I go down this route I will attempt to secure someone of the same gender/age as the full time lodger. However, I said that two and a half years ago to my last lodger, but never actually got around to doing it.

Given my travels and lifestyle, this means you may well have the entire house for a lot of the time with access to two shared receptions/living rooms, a kitchen, bathroom and conservatory and of course full use of the garden. Ample off-road parking is available on the drive. You should think of this as a home rather than a single room lodging.

My current lodger uses an Electric Vehicle and we have come to a separate arrangement regarding the additional cost of electricity for the vehicle (I changed tariff so we can exploit cheap energy prices between midnight and 4am).

The three bedroomed house is beautifully looked after and has a calm feel about it, being in a quiet unadopted private road in Bassett Green area of Southampton.

It is within easy reach of the motorway (M3 and M27) and Southampton University campus. It is close to a number of good bus routes to the city centre and the hospital. It is also walking distance of Swaythling rail station (10 minute) and close to Parkway station and the Airport.

The house is fully furnished. Has an alarm which will be expected to be used. I am not able to store furniture in the garage.
