I am a live In landlord with this being my main and only home. However, I am more often away during the week (travel, work and partner) returning on weekends (often alternative) to be with family and friends who live nearby.
Historically I rented two rooms, usually to professionals or mature students. This tended to work ok but things got a little busy on those weekends and occasions I came home. So last year I simplified things and only rented ONE of the rooms to a single person who wanted some peace quiet and a lot of their own space. This worked like a dream so I am looking to repeat these arrangements. My current lodger is now moving on after almost a year.
Given my travels and lifestyle, this means you will have the entire house for most of the time with access to two shared receptions/living rooms, a kitchen, bathroom and conservatory and of course full use of the garden. Ample off-road parking is available on the drive. You should think of this as a home rather than a single room lodging.
The three bedroomed house is beautifully looked after and has a calm feel about it, being in a quiet unadopted private road in Bassett Green area of Southampton.
It is within easy reach of the motorway (M3 and M27) and Southampton University campus. It is close to a number of good bus routes to the city centre and hospital. It is also walking distance of Swaythling rail station (10 minute) and close to Parkway station and the Airport.
