Resident Caretaker With Accommodation

We have a vacancy for an on-site resident Caretaker at our purpose built student accommodation in Southampton.

A fully furnished one bedroom flat on site is provided as part of the role. All utilities and broadband are also included. Partner welcome.

The caretaker will carry out a range of duties across two accommodation sites in Southampton. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: keeping the sites clean and tidy, carrying out domestic scale maintenance, dealing with disturbances and complaints from neighbours, cleaning the communal stairways on a weekly basis. The Caretaker would need to be on duty and on site five evenings and nights per week including some weekends. Assistant wardens provide cover two nights per week.

Candidates must have practical skills though training will be given, good communication skills, a mature attitude, a flexible approach to duties and working hours, and be reliable and responsible.

In addition to the accommodation provided, the role attracts a salary of £5000 per annum. The role would suit someone with an existing daytime job (full or part time) looking for a great opportunity to save.
