I have just bought this house, where I will be living, and am looking for a lodger for one of the four bedrooms, which is very spacious, and has an ensuite toilet and shower, and a walk in wardrobe.
The house is within walking distance of Cosham shops the hospital etc.
For now I'll be saying that the monthly cost is for;
Room with ensuite
Driveway Parking for one car
All bills, including fast internet
Access to kitchen and all appliances, and dining room.
Access to garden, patio. (Just added garden furniture!)
Limited access to shared garage for storage - I. e for a bike.
I will also be arranging a regular cleaner for all communal areas, and for your room and ensuite, if desired.
No shared access to the living room. But I anticipate this might be negotiable later.
I would be looking for a professional, ideally around a similar age range to myself (33), but realistically no real age requirement- and not really any particular requirements. No particular rules on guests etc - other than the standard don't be too noisy, let me know in advance if it's more than 1 visitor, etc.
I am a 33 year old engineer, working in Fareham. I will be out of the house weekdays between ~8 and 6, for the most part. Full details on myself, i. e social media profile to check I'm a real person, etc, can be provided later.
Contact me if you want to have a look round, and perhaps negotiate on potential move in date.
No cats or dogs sorry.
The contract will be on 3 month commitments, but with a 1 month trial period, within which you could leave if it's not right for you.
To clarify after a few questions- If is likely that there will only ever be one lodger, alongside myself, living in the house. I'd only ever rent out another bedroom if I lost my job or something.. unlikely. But I will occasionally have friends staying for a few days at a time. So much quieter than the standard HMO.
Also, as I do have a spare bedroom that's empty the majority of the time, there is the potential for you having guests to stay, but this could be discussed as and when.
