Lodger wanted for quiet home in Freemantle

WANTED! A lodger to share cosy, quiet 2 bed house with friendly live-in landlord. 

The house is fully furnished and your room is a double with a brand new double bed, large cupboard, and hanging rail. If you wish, you can have sole use of a desk in the shared dining room/study space.

You will have access to all the shared spaces in the home including the living room dining room/study, kitchen and good size south facing garden. 

All bills are included (subject to reasonable use) including superfast Toob broadband, gas and electricity, and TV licence. The house is warm and I keep the thermostat at around 20 degrees through the winter - so you won't be huddled up under blankets in the colder months.

LGBTQ+ people very welcome. I am vegetarian and am happy to discuss accomodating a vegan lodger/other dietary restrictions that might need consideration in how the kitchen is used.

Pets considered

My home is a two bed terrace cottage in a super quiet and very friendly cul-de-sac location in Freemantle (right next to Shirley). I know my neighbours by name and everyone looks out for each other, it's not a party area and for the continued harmony of the area, you should be happy to observe reasonable hours when playing music etc. It's an old house and the walls are thin - you will hear the neighbour's kids sometimes!

Transport: there is free (but limited) on road parking. It is a 20 minute walk to Southampton Central Station or 5 min bus ride. Or it is less than 5 mins walk to Millbrook rail station. The house has a secure shed you can use to store a bike.

Local area: we're a 15 min walk from Shirley High Street which has numerous excellent international food shops, a Lidl, Iceland and Sainsburys. My favourite local pub is the incredibly friendly Key and Anchor. My favourite local restaurant is What a Pizza. My favourite local takeaway is from Kali Mirchi. There's a really good local shopping and entertainment scene and it's only a 45 min walk (tops) to the city centre.

Council tax is Band B, this is included in the rental cost.
