A self contained studio lodge, with functional kitchenette, modern bathroom and secure garden. Professionals/apprenticeships welcome. Minimum stay 7 nights. No holiday makers or students. Contractors/apprenticeships welcome.

It is a self built studio lodge in the back of our garden with solar panels on the roof for electricity and hot water. It is a studio style Lodge with a king size bed.
The kitchen has a toaster/kettle/microwave oven/steamer/slow cooker and fridge/freezer for your convenience. There is a stove available on request.

Wifi is provided with a workspace for a laptop
We have an air-conditioning unit which provides coolness in the summer and heat in the winter (but please remember to close all windows and doors when in use). We also have a radiator in the property to provide a low consistent warmth in the winter months.
Hot water last for 10mins as the electricity and hot water is heated by the solar panels on top of the roof
We have an iron, shaving point and hairdryer available for your convienience.
Please can I emphasise that the lodge is the building with the double white french doors with the blinds (not the garage door) and the key is for the left hand door!
After the end of every short term tenancy there will be a professional clean required paid for by the guest.

Parking is available on the road outside the front of the property and there is usually ample but unfortunately no parking available on the driveway.
The guests will have the entire lodge to themselves with a private entrance and access through a side gate to the house (pin codes will be provided on the day of check in) The walkway to the lodge is well lit to the back garden in the dark. Guests are welcome to use the the patio area for breakfast and our garden is astro turf so mud or rain is not a problem.
We do have two very inquisitive children (4yrs and 6yrs) who will probably want to come and say hello and see if you want to play football with them or jump on the trampoline! but we will respect your peace. We do have a small dog who may bark to say hello but she is very friendly. Please let us know if you are wary of dogs and would like us to put her away when you arrive and leave. But please do close the gate behind you as we want to avoid her escaping! Thank you.

We have self check in so that guests can let themselves in and out as they go. We are happy to chat and interact but we will be lead by you. If you have children staying with us then my kids, I am sure, will want to entertain them! Please excuse us though if we do not get to meet, as we are often governed by the kids school routine and activities!

If you are unsure of the self check in process please let me know in advance so that I can be on hand to help or talk you through it. If you have a flight that will be getting you to the lodge after 9pm then please let me know if you need help with self check in before hand, as this is the main reason we have self check in!

We also welcome night shifters and the self check in is ideal for these guests. There is peace in the day when the kids are at school and flexible check out of course - but please arrange this before you book to ensure a later check out.

I am qualified Swedish massage therapist and when The EcoLodge doesn't have any airBnB guests it doubles up as a place I do swedish massage. If you would like a massage whilst you are here please let me know in advance. Back, neck and shoulders 25mins for £20, foot and leg massage £20, head massage £20. I have 8 years experience.

We are very lucky to live so close to the seafront and yet, just over the back of the hill behind us, we have Jane Eyre countryside! This area is steeped in naval history and we have the forts along the top of the hill. We have Portchester Castle which can be seen from the main house. The turret of the castle can be explored inside and explains all about the life as a prisoner of war. The area around Portchester Castle is so picturesque, you will find kayaks, sailing boats and people crabbing or walking their dogs right on the tip of the solent. On the opposite side of the Solent you will find Port Solent Marina, which is about a 25mins walk from the Lodge. Here you will find many restaurants to suit your taste buds. From traditional afternoon tea shops to gourmet food.
But if you fancy staying on there is a superb indian, chinese and fish and chip takeaway 2 mins down the road or a One Stop and a Coop for microwave meals. And Tesco and Lidl a short drive away.
The other bonus about the location of the Lodge is that it is very close to Gunwarf Quays (the large brand shopping outlet) 20mins on the bus or train. We are also close to Fareham town centre.
Those looking to stay near Queen Alexander Hospital, we are a 5 min drive away!

Portchester train station is a 10min walk to enable you to get into the centre of Portsmouth in 20mins and the X4 bus on Southampton Road goes twice an hour and gets you to Gunwarf Quays in 20mins. It's a great place to have a bike too! We are about 6 miles from Southsea and Gunwarf as the crow fly's.

**Our location is about 5 miles outside of Portsmouth town centre. We are in the residential suburb called PORTCHESTER. Transport into town is very good**

**We are an ecological accommodation; hot water is heated through a cylinder in the garage from the solar panels and lasts for 10 mins max and then it needs 40mins to reheat **

**We also strongly encourage recycling as much as possible - please recycle any plastics, cardboard or tins in the green bin by the gate and glass bottle in the black bin by the shed**

**All our bedding is encased in 'Allerjeeze' bedding encasements (underneath the regular linen) The micro-fibre fabric has been designed with a specific weave to stop dust mites from getting through. This helps protect guests with specific dust mite allergies. The encasements are soft and silky to the touch and allow the skin to breath naturally. **Check-in and Check-out:
Check-in is permitted from 4 pm onward, and check-out is scheduled for 10 am.
Requests for late check-outs and early check-ins can be made during the booking process, subject to availability and with a minimal fee.

**Additional Services:
Travel cots and high chairs are available for rental. Kindly notify us during the booking process. Please also note that bedding and sheets are not provided for cots.
**This property does accept pets subject to a small pet cleaning fee - please advise when booking.

**Important Notice:
To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, please adhere to the following regulations:
Unauthorized early check-ins and late check-outs will result in a fine of £50.
Smoking inside the property is strictly prohibited, with a £100 fine.
Guests bringing pets without prior authorization will be charged £100.
