Upper Shirley. En suite 2nd floor 'Penthouse' SINGLE fully furnished room. In the process of being refurbished, new carpets and triple glazing. Not available to view until end October.

Female preferred. The room is entered from an enclosed private staircase from the 1st floor. At the top of the stairs there is a small storage room adjacent to the main door. The room has a walk-in wardrobe, & en-suite bathroom. The room furniture is; a work-desk and chair, a large chest of drawers, small bookshelf, a bedside drawer and a single 2m IKEA divan with 3 under storage drawers. There is a small enclosed balcony that you access from an escape door in one corner of the room.

House-mates are professional post graduates late 20's to mid 40's, and a mix of nationalities. 1 lady in self-contained bedsit on 1st floor has use of the washing machine and garden.

The house is less than 10 minutes cycle from the University, the General Hospital and Central Southampton. On street parking.

Gas heating [balanced flue room sealed £1 day in winter on low] and electricity [shower, sockets and lights £10 month] to the room are on coin meters. NO other bills. Wi-Fi throughout house from Toob 1Gb optic fibre Broadband gives downloads of 90mb

You share kitchen/large lounge with only 3 others and have your own small fridge, a freezer drawer and storage locker. Use of new washing machine, rear garden area with rotary clothes dryer and locked bike shed. You are expected to clean up after yourself but a house cleaner comes monthly for passageways, lounge, kitchen and downstairs loo There is a coin operated heat pump clothes dryer £3 for 2 hours and 3 pull up clothes horses.

Registered HMO. Interlinked fire alarms, fire doors to all bedrooms and safety lighting in passageways.

Landlord lives away mostly and when visiting stays in separate annex. I do not share facilities.

6 months minimum preferred let.
