The house is in the Central Southampton City Centre area which of course means that everything you need is right there. It is literally moments away from local supermarket, cafes and restaurants, take- aways and coffee houses, transport links, big city shops and malls and of course the new £85 million pound entertainment development West Quay Watermark with it's cool eateries and Showcase cinema complex. (you have to try the 'Gallery' experience!!) Why not walk down town through Southampton's lovely parks which are beautiful in the summer.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TRAVEL
Excellent location for public transport links!
Bus stops 2 mins from house! Southampton Central Train Station is just a short 6 minute walk away, with the Southampton Central Coach Station 10 mins walk from the house.
M3 and M27 motorways are close by and Southampton's airport is about 3.6 miles up the road.
PARKING
It is possible for one tenant in the house to reserve an off road car parking space on the driveway, at a monthly cost of £50 pcm, available for residents only (space currently taken).
Unfortunately Permit parking on the road for one car is no longer available from Southampton City Council (you can appeal directly to the Council).
Even without a permit any person is able to park on the streets in zone 1 in appropriate bays freely between the hours of 6pm and 8am Monday-Saturday, and freely all day Sunday.
Also bays in certain neighbouring streets allow parking without a permit for up to 2 hours per street between the hours of 8am-6pm.
So it’s still possible to park on the streets without a permit :)
(We have had a number of tenants successfully work around these timings).
