Furnished room friendly family home

Spare room for rent. Free on-street parking outside the house. 5-10 minute walk to bus stops, regular buses to Southampton and the General. Quick drive into Southampton or to the M27. Short walk to shops, various takeaways and other local amenities.

The shared space includes a bathroom, kitchen, living room, office, and large garden with patio and shed. There is also a washing machine, tumble dryer and a large fridge/freezer. The house needs some updating but is comfortable to live in with new central heating.

Your bedroom will have a single bed with under-bed drawers, a bedside table, and clothing storage. The room is large enough for a double, so there's plenty of space. A mattress is provided.

I live in the house, and so does my daughter for half the week and every other weekend. Females are preferred for this reason. My daughter is well-behaved, and we've had a lodger for just over a year. We have enjoyed the company and are used to sharing and respecting others' privacy.

Rent includes all bills. If you have any questions, just ask. I am willing to negotiate rent if the room is not occupied full-time or for students who are not required to pay council tax, for example.
