This is a classic 2-up-2-down docker's house in central Southampton.

It is five minutes' walk to London Rd, but the street is very quiet.

It is a 2-bed house, I have one room and am looking to rent out the other. The house is furnished as seen in the photos. The room is rented with the bed which includes built-in drawers underneath; there is also a built-in wardrobe. The upstairs is carpeted and is very cosy in winter. There is a small yard out the back. I have a washing machine and a dishwasher, no dryer I am afraid though. The kitchen is large, as is the fridge. The bathroom is also a good size; in fact the bath is massive! The Wi-Fi is very good here.

All bills included. I have taken into account all of the other expenses into the asking rent, so unless there are drastic changes to energy use that needn't be worried about.

I am five minutes walk to London Rd/Bedford Place, 15 minutes walk to Guildhall Square, 20 to West Quay. In the other direction it is 10-15 minutes walking to Southampton Common.

As for me, I have been living here since February 2024 and enjoy living on this quiet street so close to the city centre. I am a trainee barrister at a chambers over the road. I work quite long hours (8.30-6) and often am busy in the evenings, and on weekends I am with my family in London so you'd pretty much have the place to yourself. When I'm home in the evenings, if I'm not preparing for a case the next day I am either cooking or relaxing. I like reading and watching good TV. I play guitar and love sports, particularly football and cricket. I've travelled a fair bit across Europe and Asia, and have lived in Australia (Sydney and Brisbane) and more recently Barcelona.

I'm open to any sort of roommate, but ideally they'd be a fellow professional or mature student who respects personal space, is clean, considerate and is someone who could be a mate. I wouldn't want anyone laddish or rowdy I'm afraid.
