Room for single use to rent in comfortable, modern, spacious house with lots of natural light. In quiet, safe neighbourhood within 10 minutes' walk to city centre, central train station, Solent University, Avenue Campus UoS, and a 25 minute walk to Highfield campus. Close to Bedford Place with shops and cafes, but in a very quiet tucked away area away from any noise. Lidl supermarket is a 3 minute walk away. I am a live-in landlord. I work full time as a lecturer at the University of Southampton.

The room is large and furnished. It has fitted wardrobes, double bed, own use of en-suite bathroom and with no traffic noise. The lounge and kitchen are shared with me. There are all the usual modern conveniences. There is a balcony overlooking a communal garden, a private back garden, a garage for safe storage of bicycles. Rent includes bills. Postcode is SO15.

Looking for someone who wants to live in a clean and tidy house and who knows how to contribute to this. Ideally you will be someone who likes to live in a relaxed environment. I think I am easy to get on with and am reasonably good company, but I am also very independent. I am kind and open-minded and respectful of differences. If you are of a similar nature that could work well. Someone who is aware of behavioural impacts on the environment would be good, without being obsessive! Cleaning to be equally shared. Willing to wait a few weeks if necessary for someone who feels like a good fit as I feel that is important for me and hopefully the other person too.
