Double room in lovely shared flat near the sea!

Hello!

I'm Charlotte and my current flatmate is moving out of our 2 bed flat in July, so I'm looking for someone to replace her from 8th July 2026 in the joint tenancy.

It's a lovely, spacious first floor flat in a quiet street in Southsea with wonderful, friendly neighbours. Great location close to the seafront, Canoe Lake, Albert Road, Palmerston Road, and Marmion Road, with bus stops nearby. About 25/30 mins walk from Fratton train station. We have neighbours upstairs and downstairs who are both very friendly, and willing to help if we ever need anything. There's a shared entrance hallway for the 3 flats in the house/building, with space to put a bike if you have one.

The room is a double with fitted wardrobes and a private bathroom with built-in cabinets, but is otherwise unfurnished. Shared lounge/dining room and kitchen, already furnished.
Monthly rent is £550, not including monthly bills which are around £100-150pp, council tax band A. There is permitted on-street parking (MF zone).

I consider myself a friendly, easy-going and respectful housemate. In the summer my evenings and weekends are usually quite busy with different activities or occasional trips, winter is a bit quieter for me so I'm chilling at home more.
I'm looking for someone who is friendly, considerate and clean; happy to hang out together but also able to do your own thing. I don't tend to host people here very often, so I'm looking for someone who's like-minded and not planning on having a lot of busy at-home gatherings.
I'm preferably looking for someone who's wants to stay at least 1 year.
