The ideal lodger will be someone who is working full time and preferably not working from home. Consideration might be given to a student lodger if a considerable amount of time would be spent out of the house e. g. at university etc. The rent may be reduced slightly for a full time registered student., as in these circumstances, the owner will not lose his single person Council Tax discount.
