Fancy a change from Urban scenery? A place in the countryside that has all the benefits of being extremely close to the city? A local pub owned by a local microbrewery? A small veg patch perhaps?
I have one double room (en-suite) to rent close to Winchester. The room has superb views over the surrounding countryside. Rural but only Five minutes drive to Winchester, one minute to access the A34, 5 minutes to M3 and approximately fifteen minutes to Stockbridge. Easily cyclable to Winchester City centre. Shared use of large living room, kitchen, laundry and substantial garden (1/3 acre).
We are looking for like-minded people who are easy going, sociable and independent. Household currently consists of myself, my nineteen year old son, my partner, a young professional (age 26), two border terriers and three beehives in the garden. All of our previous lodgers, most of whom are in their twenties, have loved living here and have remained good friends. A couple of them continue to live reasonably locally and socialize with our current lodger. If you would welcome opportunities to meet new people no doubt they would be happy to assist! They are into bouldering/rock climbing which they do several times a week. This is a very happy and relaxed household.
The adult members of our household currently work in engineering and Industrial Design. One of us is studying law. Despite the mixed ages, this is a great household to live in.
Willing to consider short term lets but depending on length of stay, rent would have to be negotiated.
