Looking for a clean and tidy lodger to rent a furnished double room in my peaceful home in the village of Dagnall, Hertfordshire. This is ideal for someone needing a short-term base in the countryside — but a car is essential, as public transport is very limited. I work from home so ideally someone who doesn't work from home.

The room:
A bright, furnished double room with a comfortable bed and wardrobe. No desk or chest of drawers, so best suited to someone who travels light or doesn’t need to work from home.

The House:
You'll be sharing with me (live-in owner). You'll have access to a shared kitchen, bathroom, and living space. The house is relaxed, respectful, and kept clean — I’m looking for someone who’s similarly tidy and considerate.

All Bills included:
Rent is £690 per month, inclusive of electricity, water, council tax, and Wi-Fi (No gas in the property, all electric).

Availability & terms:

Available immediately on a rolling, short-term basis - minimum 3 months

The house is currently for sale, so occasional viewings may happen (always with advance notice)

I’ll ensure plenty of notice is given if the situation changes

Location:
Dagnall is a quiet rural village just outside of Berkhamsted, but close to Tring, Hemel Hempstead, Leighton Buzzard and Dunstable. On the doorstep of the famous Ashridge Estate and Whipsnade Zoo, surrounded by great countryside which is popular for hikes. A car is essential due to the lack of public transport!
