Lovely spacious furnished double room available immediately in a quiet, homely house in Cheshunt.

The room is £875 per month, including bills and 1TB Wi-Fi. A £750 deposit is required, with a minimum stay of 6 months. References and proof of income are preferable.

The room comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobes/storage, bedside table, mirror and a cosy seating area. The house has a warm, calm feel and also has a large garden with outdoor seating, which is lovely to use when the weather is nice.

You’ll have access to a shared bathroom, shared kitchen and communal areas.

You’ll be sharing with a female live-in landlord and one female lodger. The landlord currently works mainly from home, with a couple of afternoons out for a part-time job, but will only be living at the property for another couple of months before spending periods abroad. The other lodger works from the office full-time, so the house is generally calm and peaceful.

I’m looking for a female lodger who is quiet, respectful, down to earth, clean and tidy, and would like to live in a calm home with like-minded women. This would suit someone who works from an office, does shift work, or only works from home occasionally. A couple of days working from home is absolutely fine, but ideally not someone who works from home full-time.

The house has a peaceful, respectful vibe, so it wouldn’t be suitable for parties, loud music or lots of visitors. Overnight guests aren’t permitted unless discussed and agreed beforehand. We also have a no-shoes-inside rule to help keep the home clean and cosy.

Location-wise, the house is around a 25-minute walk or 5–7 minute drive to Cheshunt station, with trains to Liverpool Street in around 25 minutes and Stratford in around 20 minutes. Cuffley station is also around a 10-minute drive away, with links towards Finsbury Park and the Piccadilly line. There are regular bus routes nearby, as well as local shops and amenities including Tesco, M&S and Brookfield Retail Park.
