An intelligent older lady with reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would like the security and reassurance of having someone living in her home. She would like some general practical help around the home such as shopping/help with the on-line shop, cooking a few meals each week, light cleaning and tidying, loading/unloading the dishwasher, putting the bins out, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed. A car driver her for occasional weekend outings would be really helpful, and someone who would play with the friendly dog in the garden. She would also enjoy some interesting conversation.

The accommodation on offer is a furnished double bedroom with ample wardrobe space and its own shower room. There is a room next to the bedroom that could be used as study space for someone working from home. The Sharer can also use the kitchen, and respectfully share the sitting room and garden. The home is very well presented.

The property is in Borehamwood, approx. 1.7 miles (13 mins by public transport) from Elstree & Borehamwood Station, 2.7 miles from Stanmore Underground Station, and 3.3 miles from Edgware underground station. It is very well connected by road, just 3 minutes’ drive from Junction 4 of the M1 and near the National Orthopaedic Hospital and the open spaces of Aldenham Country Park.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and practical support. The ideal Sharer will be a mature, interesting, kind, helpful, responsible and reliable non-smoker who likes dogs and is clean and tidy. Clear spoken English is essential.
