Available from 1st of October 2025. The Northern Quarter, as we have named it due to our northern origins, is our garden room.

As you’ll see from the photographs, the space is separate from the house. PLEASE NOTE. The space is only available MONDAY - FRIDAY (Sunday evening to Friday mornings) and is more akin to a hotel stay and not intended as a permanent residence. We are looking for a professional contractor working away from home during the week.

We provide a professional weekly cleaning service that includes the changing of linens for the following week which is included in the fee for the space, and you will have sole use of the garden room during your mid week stays, so no flatmates to speak of as we will be in the house.

The garden room has the following features:

A Double bedroom with wardrobe locker, housing a small travel iron + ironing board inside, a professional office chair and desk with 24 inch monitor provided for duel screen hook up to laptop, and electric wall heater.

The small sitting room features a double seater sofa, 55 inch smart tv, PS4 console, microwave, fridge, kettle with coffee / tea making facilities and a recently installed air con unit (installed after the photographs were taken), electric wall heater. Extra storage for clothes in the cupboard draws. Free wifi is provided via the QR code found on the main work top. Cutlery is provided too for any evening take away food, plus microwave to heat food up.

The shower room features an electric shower, toilet, vanity unit, towel heater, shelving for your toiletries and hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are all provided.

Hitchin has great transport links into London with fast trains taking 30mins to get into King’s Cross Station. We are also less than 20 mins drive from Luton International Airport, 15 minute drive from Stevenage.

We feel the space would suit a travelling professional working away from home during the week, with no other flat mates, though you would be sharing the use of the garden together with our small family of two children, aged 8 and 5 until 7:00pm during the summer months.

Access to the garden room is via a key lock from the driveway. There is off road parking at the front of the house where we have a ring doorbell providing extra security.
