Comfortable room in shared friendly house

Lovely quiet room available from Sunday 24th August (possibly slightly sooner if required).

10-15 minutes walk from station. Approx 30 minutes from London and Cambridge. Quiet street and beautiful leafy shared back garden. Roadside parking without restrictions.

The advertised room is bright and airy with a wooden floor and ample storage space. It has large under bed storage drawers, a three door wardrobe, lamp, bedside table, desk, office chair and TV. The bed has an Eve mattress, which is so comfortable I bought one for my own bed.

There is a combined kitchen / lounge / diner which contains a large comfy sofa, flat screen TV, dining table and tub chair. We have an induction hob and double oven, large American fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. This all-in-one room gives the home a friendly sociable feel.

Over the past few years, I have accommodated lodgers who enjoy their own company as well as those who are more extroverted. The household is happy and harmonious. All previous lodgers have enjoyed sharing and still keep in touch and visit from time to time.

A friendly family cat sometimes stays for a few days so this would ideally suit someone without pet allergies. Not completely essential though.

I run a small teaching business partly from home and so the main living room is private and sometimes used for mentoring colleagues. To ensure there is still a friendly communal area, there is a comfortable sofa and TV in the shared lounge / kitchen / diner. The fact that I often work from home has the advantage that I am frequently available to to look after things and accept parcels etc.
