Hi, I am Alison. I am looking for 1 great lodger to rent my large spare room with separate private bathroom in my beautiful modern 3 bedroom townhouse located in the village of Markyate near St Albans, Harpenden & Dunstable in Hertfordshire
The room is available to move into from Mon 8th February 2026.
You will share the house with me !
So great if you are fed up with sharing a noisy house with too many people...
I am a single live in land lady. I do not have any pets.
Driving distances from the following :-
10 mins from Harpenden & St Albans Hertfordshire
10 mins from Luton Airport Parkway Train Station
7 mins from Dunstable
15 mins from Luton
15 mins from Luton Airport
Just off junction 9 of the M1
Great access to M1, M25, A5183 and A505 all the major motorways and A Roads
Only 22 mins by direct train from Luton Airport Parkway Station to central London Kings Cross/St Pancras
Your bedroom is located on the first floor.
Plenty of storage in the wardrobe, bed drawers and chest of drawers. Check out the photos.
Happy for you to bring your own T. V. to hang on the wall.
I am looking for a professional with good references.
I am sorry but from past experience NO hoarders, couples, smokers or pet owners should apply to view.
Private bathroom with bath and rain shower
You can use my lounge on an ad hoc basis when I am out or away.
Shared kitchen. Shared downstairs toilet & sink.
Your own free parking space in small car park opposite the house
No overnight guests permitted.
The village of Markyate has 2 pubs, 2 Indian restaurants, One Stop & Londis supermarkets, Nook Cafe, Gym ( Gym Tro ) Barber shop, Post Office, Dry Cleaners, Beauty Salon, Pharmacy, Garage, Car Wash, Doctors Surgery, Fish & Chip Shop, Bakery and nail salon
