Description

A clean and tidy house in an excellent location (AL1) near St Albans city centre. All utility bills are included in the monthly rent. The room is a double bedroom with quality built-in furniture and is available from 30th April 2024.

Free parking is available on the driveway and it's just a four-minute walk to St Albans Abbey station (trains to Watford) or just over a mile to St Albans mainline station (trains to Luton, Bedford, central London and beyond). Our road is served by several bus routes and we’re very close to a large Sainsbury’s, Aldi, The Range, B&Q, PureGym and the Westminster Lodge leisure centre. The beautiful Verulamium Park is also on our doorstep.

Bills included are council tax, Virgin Media (TV package with TiVo recording and 400mb fibre optic broadband), TV licence, gas, electricity, water, waste, phone line rental (not calls) and repairs/appliance maintenance. This amounts to around £200 per person per month but is included in the rent.

Luxuries in living room include a large Samsung TV, wireless music streaming home cinema, leather recliner settees, and an extendable oak dining table.

The kitchen boasts a large American style fridge, a Miele dishwasher, a top-of-the-range washing machine and tumble dryer, a Wi-Fi controlled oven, and a toaster, kettle, microwave, etc.

The garden at the rear of the house is a good size for hosting barbecues and is well-maintained by the housemates. There is a large shed in the garden.

The private lockable bedroom has a double gas-lift bed, a large three-door fitted wardrobe, a desk, shelving units and drawers.

There are three toilets in the house, so no shortages even if you invite a friend over.

From Steve, the landlord: “I lived in the house, sharing with the housemates and moved out, so it has been set up to be a brilliant house share. The housemates are a really welcoming bunch. You'll usually find them around the house in the evenings.”
