Five-minute walk to Waitrose, twenty-minute walk to St Albans town centre through the beautiful Verulamium Park with a lake, passing by the cathedral. Very good access to M1, M25 and North Orbital.

The room is bright and recently refurbished, a double bed, desk and chair, open shelves, fitted wardrobe and two credenzas. There is a main bathroom on the same floor with power shower and a toilet for lodgers' exclusive use. There is another bathroom on the second floor for the owners and a separate cloak room on the ground floor.

The living-room and open-plan kitchen are shared. There is a patio in the nice rear garden with a table and chairs in warmer months as well as a small front garden and generous parking space on the premise.

We also offer the use of a washing machine, a large fridge/freezer, an oven/grill, a microwave oven, Nespresso machine, etc in the kitchen, a large 47" connected TV, plenty of sofas in the lounge, gas central heating and fast broadband wifi connection. There's a separate cloakroom downstairs as well. All windows are double-glazed. Also an extra fridge/freezer and the dryer in the garage can be used.

Because of the way houses in the area are laid out, cars cannot whiz through the culs de sac and neighbouring cats live long lives. Therefore the neighbourhood is very safe and quiet.

An ideal place to live for full-time professionals, it is very close to Waitrose, the wonderful Verulamium Park with a lake and the town centre, offering both nature and convenience.

The owners are Swiss and Japanese who have lived in the US for almost 10 years, as well as several years in South Korea and have been residents in the UK for over 20 years. Both of them have been in business and in academia so they are open-minded and friendly to all including LGBTQ persons. They both prefer to live with a professional person.

We also ask everyone in the house to take off their shoes at the entrance and change into slippers (Sorry it's the Japanese way).
