Description
Please read the full advert before messaging. 😊
A couple of quick things first:
* Please have at least one clear photo of yourself on your profile.
* If we’re arranging a viewing and I share my WhatsApp/number, please continue the conversation there rather than back on SpareRoom. 😊
I’m looking for someone who’s genuinely ready to move, communicates well, and has lived in shared accommodation before.
⸻
About the flat
I’ve lived here for over 4 years and it’s pretty chill to be honest! This isn’t just somewhere I sleep-it’s my home ☺️ I’m looking for someone who’d like to treat it as theirs too.
Ground floor flat in Watford Junction- you’d be sharing with just me.
Location
* 6-minute walk to Watford Junction
* Around 17 minutes to Euston
* 7-minute walk to Atria
* Easy drive to Pinner, Harrow & Northwood
* For healthcare workers, it’s around 30 minutes’ walk to Watford General Hospital
⸻
About me
I’m a software developer and work a hybrid schedule between home and offices in Victoria.
I’m a British Bangladeshi (made in Bangladesh, raised in the UK).
Culturally Muslim, although not particularly practising. I’ve happily lived with people from lots of different backgrounds and I’d love to continue doing that. I don’t smoke and I drink socially.
One personal preference: I’d really prefer to live with someone who doesn’t cook or eat pork in the flat. I hope that’s understandable.
⸻
Your room
Fully furnished double room including:
* Ottoman bed with premium mattress
* Built-in wardrobe
* IKEA furniture
(The desk in the photos belonged to my previous flatmate and won’t be included. You’ll also need your own duvet and pillows for hygiene reasons.)
⸻
Included
* 55” 4K TV with Netflix & Prime
* Fast broadband
* Dishwasher
* Berkey water filter
* Free on-street parking a short walk away
* Fully furnished communal living room, kitchen and bathroom
⸻
Looking for someone who…
Honestly, just has their life reasonably together.
Someone who is:
* Kind and respectful
* Honest
* House-proud
* Hygienic
* Considerate of shared spaces
* Good at communicating
* Self-aware
* Happy sharing cleaning responsibilities
I’m especially particular about the bathroom and kitchen being kept clean. I don’t expect perfection—we’re all human—but I do appreciate consistency.
⸻
House expectations
I’ve had some… memorable flatmates over the years 😂 so I’ve learnt it’s better to be upfront.
Things that matter to me:
* Clean up after yourself.
* Leave communal spaces roughly how you found them.
* Lock the front door.
* Store food hygienically and don’t completely monopolise the fridge.
* Please wear clothes in communal areas. (Apparently this needed adding after previous experiences… 🙃)
* Turn lights, heating and TV off when you’re out.
* Open windows to air your room when possible.
* No outdoor shoes indoors.
* Wear clean slippers/sliders in the flat.
* Wipe down the shower after use.
* Alternate weekly cleaning.
* Split the cost of communal items like bin bags and cleaning products.
* Please don’t run excessive amounts of laundry every week—we all pay the bills. 😅
⸻
Work from home
I’d ideally like someone who mainly works from the office.
Hybrid working is absolutely fine, but if you’re home significantly more than average, we’d need to discuss a fair contribution towards bills.
⸻
The vibe
I’d love to live with someone who’s friendly enough for the occasional chat, takeaway or movie night, while also respecting each other’s own space.
I’m not looking for a best friend—but it would be lovely if we genuinely enjoyed living together.
⸻
If you’ve made it this far, thank you!
If this sounds like your kind of home, send me a message telling me a little about yourself, what you do for work and when you’re looking to move.
Looking forward to hearing from you. 😊
