The property is in a stage where it does need refurbishment so that the overall condition is improved over time. It's ok as it is or the building isn't falling apart but I want the place looking like a brand new modern apartment eventually, taking in a lodger will help me finance this and when the place is done it will be great for both of us.

The bedroom can be painted freshly after you move in I would help with this by painting.
