Description
Hello! I’m Charis, I’m 28 and bought this house in February 2024. I’ve had a housemate for the past year, who has turned into a great friend, but she is moving home to Manchester after getting a new job.
The house has a living room and kitchen-diner, and quite a large garden. I have two cats, they are both lovely but shy, so won’t bother you if you’re not a cat person. There is a driveway for two cars, the A1 is on our doorstep, and we’re about a 15 minute walk from the train station. We’re a 5 minute walk from a park with two large lakes, and there’s a bus stop at the end of our road. There is a toilet downstairs, and a bathroom upstairs that we will have to share. The spare room is next to the bathroom, and mine is next door to that. Then there is a small box room that I use as an office since I work at home often.
I work in the nhs as a mental health researcher, and am quite relaxed and easy going. I like going to see films, see my friends, and read in the sun after work. I appreciate a live-in landlord might be daunting, but if I can reassure you at all, I’m very respectful, I won’t be setting rules, or be overbearing or particular about things. I like to think I’m quite relaxed (but also clean and tidy) but I’m sure my previous housemate would talk to you privately too if you wanted ☺️ the house isn’t really suitable for WFH arrangements, fyi
I’ll update the council tax band once I have searched for it. But it’s about £200 a month (£100 each). I’m also happy to be flexible on moving in date (either forward or backward) for the right person
