An intelligent, educated and ‘with it’ older gentleman with slightly reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for his home to offer a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

He would primarily value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around his home in the evenings and overnight. Some general practical help around the home such as picking up shopping, cooking/helping to cook – and sharing – a few meals each week, light cleaning/tidying between the cleaner’s visits, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help, outings and errands.

The accommodation on offer is a good sized, bright double bedroom furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table and chair, and shared use of a shower room, and the kitchen and sitting-room.

The property is in an excellent location just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Welwyn Garden City, and very close to the A1(M). There is parking available.

The gentleman reads the iPaper, listens to classical music, watches TV – dramas, the news, documentaries, rugby – and enjoys a good chat! He has a friendly 11-year-old female cat.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the gentleman’s interests.
