I am a 38-year-old professional female, originally from Hungary, and I speak English fluently, currently sharing this flat and looking for a new flatmate from May.
I see this home as a shared living space rather than just a room to rent, so I’m looking for a friendly and reliable flatmate who also values a calm and respectful home environment.
At home, I enjoy a balance of my own space and shared time – I like relaxing in my room, but I also enjoy chatting or watching films and series in the living room. I keep the flat tidy and expect us to clean up after ourselves. I’m not a cleaning fanatic, but I do believe in basic order and mutual respect for shared spaces.
The flat has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the rooms are located at opposite ends of the property, so we won’t disturb each other and privacy is very good. I am the current tenant of the flat (not the owner). The landlord does not live in the property and is very kind and supportive. The contract is through an agency, so the successful applicant will need to pass standard referencing checks.
The available room is a double en-suite room and will be available from 12th May 2026. The en-suite has a shower and the room has a built-in wardrobe. The bed and mattress currently in the room belong to the current flatmate and can be left for the new tenant free of charge if desired but they can also be removed, as they are not part of the room.
There is also a main bathroom with a bathtub, which I normally use and can also be used by guests. There is an additional storage room in the flat for extra belongings.
The flat is located on the 4th floor and there is no lift, so this would suit someone who is comfortable with stairs.
I would be happy to have a friendly, considerate and easy-to-approach flatmate, with whom communication is important and things can be discussed openly when needed.
This home would suit a working professional who is looking for a peaceful, grown-up place to live.
There is parking included with the property, and having a car is strongly recommended as the flat is located on the edge of town.
There is a lovely park nearby where I enjoy walking and relaxing, so it’s great for anyone who likes being close to nature.
In terms of costs, the current rent for the flat is £1250 per month in total, shared equally. This may increase slightly from May, but this is not confirmed yet. Council tax is currently £170 per month for two people, shared equally. Electricity is paid monthly and is currently around £60 per person, which also helps build credit for winter usage. There is no gas in the property (electric only). Water is included in the rent. Internet is approximately £40 per month, shared equally.
Rent is paid monthly, currently on the 12th of each month.
