The guest room is within our family home, a professional working from home couple with two well behaved friendly Norfolk Terrier / Jack Russell dogs. Your privacy will be respected and you are welcome to come and go as you please. The guest room is light & bright with double-aspect windows and a neat ensuite with shower, W. C and basin.

Guest access: Shared use (with the owners) of large open-plan fully equiped kitchen including gas hob, american style fridge, washing machine & dishwasher, garden room, cosy sitting room with easy to use wood burner stove, all outside spaces including cottage front garden and fields.

Step immediately into 10 acres of private fields & woods for tenant to use and relax in. Located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with stunning night skies & wildlife. 5 mins walk to the local village of Bells Yew Green, complete with train station, village pub and shop. Further bars, restaurants, shopping & amenties a short drive or train journey away. Plenty of walks, pretty villages, historic houses & gardens in easy reach and an hour to the south coast seaside or London.

We welcome our guests to feel at home in our guest room and grounds, whether taking a morning walk across the fields, watching the swallows dip into the pond or relaxing in front of the log-fire in the shared sitting room. We often have fresh eggs (Duck or Chicken) from the resident brood that you're welcome to try!

The property: An old half-timbered Sussex workers cottage first built in 1710 and more recently extended to give a warm, welcoming and cosy yet expansive feel. Low ceilings and exposed beams throughout. We are in the process of gradually restoring our home to bring out many of its orginal features and quirky charm. Throughout the seasons a haven of wildlife - from owls, songbirds and pheasants to deer, dragon flies & butterflies.

If you're looking for somewhere equipped with mod-cons this is not for you!

If you want to get away from tech & have a calm place in the countryside this is for you. We’d prefer a Mon-Fri let so we can both enjoy some own time although we are open to consider some weekends. For us it is more about finding the right person to enjoy our spot, it is particularly unique!
