Description
I have a double un/furnished room to let in my apartment. Located /set back off the High Street in Chatham - 3rd floor with river views
I am a working professional but hardly home so it would be nice to have someone living there whilst I’m not. I work away from home and my partner lives in London.
I do not have any pets but I will consider if you’re okay with keeping a cat or small breed dog - I love animals. I do insist on keeping it clean and tidying up after them, please.
The apartment uses video, fob entry. There is a door round back and a coded padlock at the side to gain access to the garage area.
Remote control roller shutter door and one parking space is allocated and available if necessary.
Secure indoor lockable bike store.
You will have a set of keys for full access. Bin areas are downstairs in the courtyard inside secure lock up.
The rent includes some bills
Council tax, water and £100 credit on gas during winter and £60 over summer. Electric £100 per month included. Meters are prepaid so any use outside of this will be down to you however if I’m at the flat for anytime and the credits have been exhausted. I’ll be sure to contribute towards it.
The bedroom can rented furnished, part furnished or unfurnished.
Bathroom is shqred - overhead shower and bath
The kitchen, dining and living area is open plan and there are double glass doors leading onto an l-shaped balcony offering uninterrupted views of Medway river extending as far as the Rochester cathedral one way and Docskide , the other. Great sunsets from the lounge sofa on good days.
There will be space for your bits and a spare storage cupboard in the hallway and there is a large double door fridge / freezer. I don’t use a toaster or microwave so if you want one you can bring either or both.
I am quiet and keep to myself but very down to earth and happy to hold some conversation without us bombarding each other.
Single occupancy. Not keen on any couples but equally no problem with visitors and or overnight guests here and there.
I have a maintenance man locally to assist with any issues that may arise.
It would be great to have someone in who understands boundaries and is respectful of self, others and the space shared.
Location
10 minutes from Chatham railway and 15 minutes from Rochester railway offering hi-speed (St Pancras 40-50minutes) and standard (Victoria anything from 48-1hr11minutes) trains into London.
Walking distance to the Pentagon shopping mall with GP practice inside.
Most dentists are private that are closest to the flat
Big bus stop outside the shopping mall.
Several great coffee shops, halal shops, Sainsbury’s inside the mall, B&M .round the corner, as well as post office, banks and pet shop.
Victoria gardens is the road parallel to High Street which is great for a walk and look out area.
High Street Chatham leads onto Rochester High Street.
