Live-in house sitter / caretaker (flexible stay)

I’m looking for a responsible and tidy individual to act as a live-in house sitter/caretaker in my cottage in Chilham, Kent.

I work away for extended periods, during which the successful applicant would live in the property and care for the house and three cats. One or more of the cats requires medication, so confidence with routine pet care is essential.

Important: this is not a tenancy. Occupation is only while I am working away. When I return home, the house sitter is required to vacate the property for the duration of my stay. This may happen several times per year, typically for a few weeks at a time.

The arrangement would suit someone flexible and independent, such as a postgraduate student, remote worker, or someone between longer-term commitments. The village is quiet and walkable, though having access to a car is strongly preferred due to limited public transport.

Bills and broadband are included. References will be required.
