Beautiful double bedroom overlooking farmland

Medium sized, comfortable room available in a characterful farmhouse in Detling (Maidstone area), with shared bathroom and plenty of parking.

I’m looking for a friendly, reliable person who genuinely loves dogs or even has a dog of their own (preferably female). This is because I have a small dachshund who will be 13 years old soon and suffers from a bit of separation anxiety, so I’d love someone who is around during the day or happy to spend time with him.

In return for helping with his care (company, occasional walks etc), I’m offering a reduced rent (the rent stated includes this reduction)

The room would suit someone who works from home, is part-time, or simply enjoys a quieter countryside lifestyle.

I work full time in the care industry and have irregular hours, usually starting at 7.00am with a few hours gap in the afternoon and then back out till around 9.00pm, however I do have one day off a week and often only work till lunchtime.

A car would be essential as we are off the beaten track and access to public transport is quite challenging, unless you love walking.

We have a large kitchen and a separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, large fridge freezer and sink. The kitchen has a 9 gas burner, two ovens and grill. Microwave, dishwasher, large American style fridge freezer. There is also a table with American diner sofa for having meals and a double sink.

There is a newly fitted downstairs shower room with WC.

We also have a snug room with large wrap around sofa with sky tv.
There is a dining room with table and chairs for up to 8 people.

The lounge is very large with sky tv and seating for up to 9 people. There is a wood burner in the lounge and dining room.

We are in the countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty. However although we have the luxury of this we are also very close to good transport links.

The M20 is nearby and there are good transport links with close proximity to Bearsted Station, Maidstone East & Maidstone West.
A car is essential.

I have three housemates, a male aged 38 and 2 females, they are all very easy going and friendly. My son will be moving out soon which is why the room is coming up for availability. We are all working professionals and are tidy, great people to live with!
