Furnished double room

I’m looking for a lodger to take a room in my converted Oast house in Hastingleigh.
* Location: My house is in a small hamlet just outside (2min drive or 10 min walk) Hastingleigh which is a small village located in an area of outstaying natural beauty on top of the North Downs.
* Transport: You will need a car as there are few buses per day. The bus stop is a 10 min walk away. Wye is a 10 min drive where there is a train station which runs east to Canterbury and beyond and west to Ashford where you can catch the high speed trains to London.
* Amenities: The room is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The bathroom is shared but I only use it for my shower so effectively yours. All bills are included. If you like pubs, we have an excellent Local (The Bowl Inn) which is very popular and offer excellent food and drinks Thu-Sun. We also have our local garage for those essential services and annoying problems with our cars.
* WiFi: We haver a fast connection via Starlink which I have had for the last two years and is very reliable.
* Parking: You have a designated off-road parking space at the front of the house.
* Kitchen: We will share the large country kitchen which is kept warm with an Aga and we cook on a gas hob and electric double oven plus a microwave. We will share a large fridge and you will have your own cupboard spaces so plenty of room.
* Other people: I have a young couple living in the house but their accommodation is a self contained flat. I’m a 67yr old man. Still working as a painter & decorator. I’m into music, riding horses and much else. I also have a very friendly black Labrador called Hammie who would love it if you wanted to take him for a walk.
