Charming Room in Old Town Margate

Hello!

We are a couple (Aaryn & Jack) in our 30s. We live in a historic 3-story, 2.5 bedroom house on King Street in the centre of Margate Old Town, a stone's throw away from the town's many pubs, restaurants and shops, and less than 2 minutes walk to the beach! Despite the proximity to town, inside the house is peaceful and quiet.

We are looking for a flatmate to rent our spare room in the heart of Margate, whilst Aaryn is away in Asia for 3 months (January - March 2026), with the possibility of extending to a longer let for the right person.

The room for rent is the master bedroom on the first floor of the house, and comes furnished with a desk, chair, big wardrobe, dresser and double bed. It is light filled and spacious. Also in the house are a comfy living room with 2 couches, dining room, cute kitchen, walled garden with BBQ, and of course a loo with a big shower & bath, all for you to use.

Your flatmate for the majority of the time would be Jack, an entrepeneur who works in London the majority of the week. During the week (Monday - Thursday) you would have the house entirely to yourself as Jack rents a room part-time in London. Aaryn is a winemaker and works at Bottega Caruso in town. You might cross over with her for a week or two, but she will be travelling in Asia most of the time.

Other than that, we have two lovely, friendly cats - Bear & Tallulah, who you'd share the house with. So liking cats is a must!

Room is £700pcm + bills. Bills are split by the people living in the house at the time and range from around £250 - £350pp (this includes Council Tax - Band C, Gas & Electric, Water and a weekly Cleaner).

Happy to consider couples for the 3 month period, but for longer lets, we would be looking for one person.
