Description
Hi there,
I'm looking to share my home with a tidy, pleasant professional... Thanks for reading.
As stated, I have this lovely, large, sunny, double room to let - available mid-late July.
Preferably, looking for a longer term let - at least 6 to 12 months at a time...
The whole interior of the house has recently been refurbished. New carpets, new beds, new furniture & desks.
Your room is bright and spacious (warm in the winter) with lots of light & a large bay window/office area. You have a double bed (fresh duvet and bedding supplied), two wardrobes, & a desk with drawers.
The two recently refurbished WC/bath/shower rooms are shared, along with a nice, clean, bright kitchen/breakfast room and a large welcoming lounge/living room.
It's a large(ish) 4 bed semi-detached house with a welcoming reception room and a south-facing garden - which is a constant suntrap and great for barbecues in the summer.
There's also a 3-car driveway, with one more space for off-road parking.
There will be only 2 other professional flatmates living here.
I'm a professional musician (48), mostly out of town or abroad on contract. Otherwise, I live next door & am always available to pop round, collect mail & fix or repair things as needed.
We're just off Orpington High Street and literally around the corner from virtually every shop or convenience you could possibly want, including Sainsbury's (opposite), 24 hr Tesco extra (moments walk away), and a wide selection of new, trendy restaurants and bars up & down the High Street.
Oh, and a very good gym is just over the street, along with Orpington College, the Odeon cinema, local health center and swimming pool.
We're only 12 minutes walk away from Orpington train station, a main stop on the Southeastern line with regular express trains directly to Victoria, London Bridge (15 -18 mins) and Charing Cross - Or south to Sevenoaks, Tonbridge Wells, Hastings and Dover. If you get caught in London after the trains have stopped at night there's a night bus from Trafalgar sq. straight to the High Street, which is almost right past our front door.
As a contract musician, I drop in from time to time on flying visits every few months to pick up mail & fix or refurbish things.
This vacancy is offered to a single, non-smoking professional. Ideally, you are relaxed and sociable, with a proverbial day job.
Working from home is now more of a thing. So we upgraded the all the desks. Making a nice, homey, spacious environment for both work and relaxation.
I accept a month's rent in advance and the last month's rent (instead of deposit). All bills and c. tax are covered, including 24hr, unlimited, 100mbps, fibre, wireless broadband and a bi-weekly cleaner.
You may appreciate that this is not a wild party house but rather a home... Very friendly and casual but where tranquility is a good thing.
Finally, please note this is zone-6 (outer London)... Do check the map so there's no confusion about that.
If you've read this and think it works well for you please message me... Maybe write a little about yourself. Thank you.
David
