Co-living space to suit a couple (suite of rooms)

We are Karen and Brian, we both run small tech companies. We have owned the property for over 30 years, and love living here. We have recently converted it to make it more eco-friendly and to open it up to sharing the space with others. This means that we don’t need to downsize in order to live in a space more suited to just the two of us now our children have left home. We live upstairs.

Ours is an eco-friendly house, with low energy heating, cooling and lighting, partly powered by solar. We have fast broadband and private WiFi networks.

We have two cats who love attention and we have lovely neighbours. The house has a collection of games and puzzles.

Our space would suit a couple and is entirely on the ground floor..

YOUR SPACE is around 36 sq m and includes:

A private living/dining area with access to the garden space with a deck and a vegetable plot available if you are here long enough. 2 seater sofa bed, storage cupboards and shelving, TV and internet access.

A large double bedroom with double bed, mirror, storage, hanging space and bedside tables. This room was converted from a living room and still has the wood burner installed, it is not operational but is held in reserve for any potential energy problems.

A bathroom with spacious shower, underfloor heating, storage

SHARED SPACE includes the entrance hall with coat and shoe racks, utility room with washing machine and storage, kitchen with induction cooker, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer and double sink. The kitchen has staples, including breakfast items, available with fresh veg from the garden at various times of the year. Cleaning materials are provided for longer lets and there is an indoor hanging rack, and outdoor washing line for drying washing.

LOCATION – Our house is located to the South-East of Rochester, between Rochester and Chatham. We are 2 miles from Rochester Station and 1.4 miles from Chatham Station, both easily walkable or accessible on a single bus ride. We have very regular buses to Chatham, Rochester and Maidstone There are regular trains to London and the Kent Coast. There is a range of shops within walking distance, parks, pubs, gyms and sports facilities including a padel centre.

The house is 2 miles from Rochester Station and 1.4 miles from Chatham Station both easily walkable. There is a range of shops within walking distance, parks, pubs, gyms and sports facilities.

There is free on street parking if needed. We use the space in front of the house but there is almost always a space within 50m.
