Description
Room: Good size, furnished (currently in the process of kitting it out), large mirror-fronted double wardrobe, North-East facing (gets the sun in the morning), overlooks the garden, not overlooked by anyone else.
House: clean and tidy but with a number of original wooden features and floors. Master bedroom is my own and third bedroom used for my belongings and storage. Bathroom with bath/shower. Living room is cosy and comfortable with plenty of space for two. Kitchen/diner more airy and well appointed, with dishwasher, dining table and view out to patios/garden. Neighbours are excellent on both sides.
Garden: 60ft, four patio areas, mostly paved, great for BBQs, chimeneas etc. If you're any good at gardening/weeding, we can discuss a deal on the rent! Double garage at the end of the garden but that will not be available for tenant use.
Transport: Front driveway is available for you to use and there is generally plenty of additional on-street parking too. Buses into Strood/Medway or towards Gravesend/London stop close by. Strood railway station (HS1) is a 20 minute / 1.2 mile downhill walk and trains from there go into London, Medway and the Coast, and Maidstone lines. Uber operates in this area. Rochester High Street is walkable for an evening out in good weather. Bluewater is about a 12 minute drive.
Me: my job role is taking me away for several nights per week, so for much of the time you will have the entire house to yourself; as a result it's important that you are responsible and trustworthy. I do have guests occasionally as I'm sure you may want to as well - I'm happy to co-ordinate and co-operate with you to ensure things don't get crowded or uncomfortable. Ideally my tenant will be someone I get on with and who becomes a welcome part of the home.
TV Note: I do not have, and nor do I intend to get, a TV license or live TV service (I'm good with YouTube, Netflix, Amazon etc). If you want Sky or similar am happy to get it all sorted, but it will be entirely at your expense.
