Description

My two-storey contemporary house is immaculate with all modern appliances in the integrated kitchen/diner. The living room features a large Freely TV with Netflix, and has French doors leading onto a decking area and a small, colourful, secluded garden beyond.

The beautiful, modern, upstairs bedroom available to rent, features a new double bed and all-new bedding. The room features ample storage space, including a fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers, and is tastefully decorated.

It’s been freshly painted in crisp Rock Salt to reflect the vibe of nearby Walmer Beach, which is only a 10-minute walk away. The large double-glazed window lets in a lot of light and is framed by bespoke beaded silk curtains.

Communal areas include the living room, kitchen/diner, upstairs bathroom (with power shower over a b-shaped bath), office, downstairs toilet and private garden.

Sometimes I’ll be living there and at other times I’ll be overseas and you’ll have the house to yourself. You will need to park on the road in front of the house, but there are always plenty of spaces.

My house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac in a beautiful area, featuring large trees, wide roads, and is within walking distance of local shops, Walmer Castle, the beach, where you can see France, and Walmer train station.

The popular seaside village of Kingsdown is a short walk away, and in the opposite direction is Deal, which is known for its bespoke shops, art galleries, festivals, vibrant music scene and as a filming location. You can see both Kingsdown and its white cliffs, as well as Deal Pier, from Walmer Beach.

There are excellent transport links to places like Dover, Folkestone, Canterbury, Ashford, Sandwich, Thanet and London. The high-speed trains take about an hour and 20 minutes from Walmer to London St. Pancras International.

My home is high spec, clean, tidy, light, bright and peaceful. I’m a career writer and the author of a how-to-find-happiness book, and I like to think that my surroundings reflect my ethos. To keep me Zen, no smokers please or those with any alcohol or other addictions. In addition, preferably employed .

I haven’t decided on minimum and maximum terms yet as this is my first foray into finding a lodger, but I’m happy to discuss options with people. I’m seeking a mature, responsible, considerate, clean and tidy person who will respect my home as if it were their own.
