Three bedroom cottage next to Dalbeattie woods. Nice quiet area to live in with a big garden. It's a good location for someone into the outdoors with access to the coast, hills and mountain biking.

The rent covers the room, use of the communal areas, appliances, cleaning products and all bills. It does not include food, personal cleaning products, laundry detergent or bedding.

I'm 37 years old and work at an outdoor activity centre just outside Castle Douglas. I own the house and keep it in good condition. The place is generally clean and tidy and I expect lodgers to clean up after themselves. I'm pretty easy going, honest and trustworthy and expect the same in return. I like living with other people but work quite long hours in the summer and also tend to spend a bit of time on my own so not around all the time. I prefer to live with people who are laid back, easy to get on with and quiet in the evenings.

We have no TV licence but the internet is fibre and fast enough to stream without any trouble (if you wish to watch live TV, you will need your own TV licence). The central heating and hot water are run from a solid fuel stove, during the winter it is a cold house if you are used to automatic central heating. During the summer the fire is off so apart from an electric shower and the kettle there's no hot water.

Dalbeattie is a quiet area about 15 minutes from Dumfries by car. The house is a few minutes walk to the bus stop with regular busses into Dumfries and Castle Douglas (bus no. 501)
