Quiet Room in Unique Woodland Setting

Cosy Single Room in secluded location – near Blanefield, 25 minutes’ drive from Glasgow West End. A car is essential. Rent is £595 a month. All bills included except electricity, which is typically £100. per month.

A bright, peaceful single room available in a unique home set among ancient woodland, with a river and lochans nearby, and a burn running through the private garden. The house sits in a world-class beauty spot with 360-degree views across the Campsie Fells and surrounding forest.

If your dream home is living amongst nature, peace and quiet, sharing space with a friendly dog and cat, and being neighbours to roe deer, moles, highland coos, and a wide variety of birdlife including herons, cormorants, moorhens, and birds of prey, this might suit you well. The private garden features its own woodland, a burn, and a quiet seating area to enjoy the views.

The room has a single bed, two windows with great views, a desk, and a large clothing recess, with a lovely outlook over the trees. Shared lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The cosy lounge features a wood-burning stove.

Please note firewood for the stove is not included and should be purchased as required.

There is a possibility of an agreement to look after my two pets while I am away. This can be arranged prior at dates suitable to both parties. I may be away for a week or more at a time. Where you provide pet care during my trips while I am away, rent will be reduced by £100 per trip.

You are welcome to have guests stay over for a reasonable amount of time. There is a sofa bed in the living room, and you can also have use of a double futon in the bedroom on request. It would be helpful to let each other know in advance when we plan to have guests, so we can make sure there is enough space and avoid any overlap. Please also note that, due to the remote location, the sofa bed in the living room may be used from time to time on whenever I have my own guests staying.

Light garden upkeep, such as mowing the lawn, is shared.

Non-smoking household. However, smoking is welcome outside.
