Description
If you’ve always thought that being able to live in a mature countryside setting with its own loch and wildlife habitat, was just a dream, think again. Gartloch Village is set in a sleepy backwater of woodland walks and countryside views just 10 minutes’ drive from Glasgow City Centre. Come and live here and you’ll find everything you could wish for in a prestigious new location with a unique character.
Gartloch Village nestles within a designated Local Nature Reserve. Native trees such as birch, beech and oak stand amongst meadows of wild flowers, which together with the loch provide a haven for all kinds of wildlife. In particular the grounds surrounding Gartloch Village is home to a variety of birds unique to this special place. The Water Rail, alongside the unusual Grasshopper Warbler and the Sedge Warbler brings the loch’s reedbeds to life with their chattering song in May, whilst the Reed Bunting can be seen in and around the water’s edge. Wild flowers are in abundance particularly in spring and summer. The highly fragrant Meadowsweet has a creamy flower head that attracts butterflies and other nectar gatherers. The deep pink ‘ragged’ flowers of Ragged Robin can be seen throughout the summer and by the loch, Yellow Flag Iris add a splash of colour with their characteristic brilliant yellow flowers. All this, right on the doorstep.
The house is very spacious and people friendly, you can either join us for meals, glass of wine or games or spend time in your own room doing your own thing. You will have access to the kitchen, utility room (washing machine and tumble dryer), dining area and you will have the choice of a bath or shower.
All bills are included in the price.
If you don't want to miss out on this, all you have to do is contact me and arrange a viewing.
