Description
I am renting out the second bedroom in this nice and bright flat in the G51 (Kinning Park) area for initially up to four months, although extensions are negotiable dependent on my own plans.
I recently completed my PhD in History at UofG and am about to start a new job. In my free time, I enjoy sports (indoor/outdoor), culture, cooking, reading or just watching a movie. I am always happy to share a cuppa or dinner but I am fine with keeping to myself, too.
The flat comes fully furnished with kitchen appliances, bathroom/shower and washing machine in fine working condition. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, some wall shelves, a bedside table and lamp as well as a cupboard. There would still be room for a small desk or drawer, though these are currently not provided. I can provide bedding, too, if necessary. A clean and tidy flat is particularly important to me, so it would be great if you felt and cared the same way about the shared spaces.
Kinning Park, Shields Road and Cessnock subway stations are in 5-10 mins walking distance and it's a 15–20 mins walk to city centre/Glasgow Central station. The various unis and schools in Glasgow are reachable by subway, bus, on foot or by bike.
FirstBus and McGill’s busses run directly in front of the house. Tesco's is around the corner and larger supermarkets (Lidl/Aldi/Morrisons/Asda) are easily accessible on foot or by bus/subway. Several sports facilities, pubs, cafés, etc., are nearby.
The rent includes bills (council tax Band C, broadband and utilities) as well as a cleaning fee since I prefer to do the cleaning of shared spaces myself on a weekly basis.
The earliest possible move-in date would be 1 September 2025. Please let me know about your wishes regarding the move-in date and length of stay when you reach out. I would be happy to arrange in-person viewings as well as online viewings via Skype/Zoom on a fairly flexible basis. Any questions, feel free to ask.
