Only do in-person viewings. I do right to rent checks. I am not a landlord running a business from housing, I am homeowner who takes in lodgers to help with the cost of living. Lodger license is written by Scottish lawyers in keeping with Scottish housing laws.
Spacious double bedroom in South facing flat with garden. On street parking, shed for bikes. Gas and electrics safety certificates and interlinked fire alarms throughout.
0.3 miles from Scotstoun train station, a stones throw from busses, library, shops, 15 minutes walk to Scotstoun leisure centre, 20 minute walk to Victoria park or Anniesland, 3 miles from Glasgow University, 5 miles the art school.
We share gas and electricity bills equally around £20 a month in summer £45 a month in winter. Water and WiFi included in rent. Most full time students on courses 6 months or longer at University are exempt from council tax.
I'm 48 year old owner occupier I currently have a number of opportunities to apply for post graduate study in both Scotland and South of the border. I am trying to decide which to go for and currently exploring options. If I stay in Glasgow I'd be looking for a friendly lodger who'd like to stay at least a year or two, to have a more settled and mutually pleasant experience. As such I'm not in a rush to fill the room as a good match is more important. I'd be prepared to consider negotiating on rental amount for a good match. LGBT friendly, we are a multi-cultural house with a cat. Friendly and sociable but not a party house. The Street is mainly working families and post grad students.
Only lodgers who do not participate, ideologically or practically in commercial sexual exploitation cultures.
If these look good for you it'd be great to hear from you
