(Kindly note: I have already found a longer-term flatmate who will join me in August. I am looking for a flatmate who is looking for a short-term stay between June and July 2024.)

The flat is located 2 blocks away from Dumbarton Road, It is in a peaceful and quiet residential neighbourhood with convenient access to public amenities and links to public transport (Bus 1, 2, 6 towards City Centre and Scotrail) connecting you to various universities (Strathclyde, Glasgow and GCU) and colleges. Scotstoun Stadium and gym, and Victoria Park are at short walking distance from the house.

The flat is on the ground floor (street-level). It comprises an entrance hallway with storage; a bright and spacious bay windowed lounge with ample dining space; two double bedrooms with bed and built-in storage; a modern fitted galley style shared kitchen with appliances; and a shared white three-piece shower room. Further benefits include a secure entry, double glazing, gas central heating, communal garden space to the rear, and ample on-street parking.

Your flatmate
You will be living with me, a full-time PhD student working part-time as a university staff. I mostly cook and sometimes work-from-home. I also like to take care of plants and one of the coolest housemates you will find.

For council tax exemption eligibility, I prefer a student to join me. I am looking for somone who can treat this place a home; who takes initiative in cleaning shared spaces as necessary; who values privacy, who respects diverse nationalities, cultures, religions, and sexual orientations; and must be able to handle conversations especially on matters related to the property.

Finally, in terms of rent and bills. The advertised room will be rented at £400 per month. Contribution to monthly gas bills, annual contribution to the TV license fees, and monthly broadband connection which we will both share (around £80-120/month depending on the time of the year). This will be explained further. Be reassured that there will be no agent fees as I am negotiating this place; including provisions of additional furnishings directly with the flat owner.
