Description
A nice big room for short term sublet in a lovely spacious flat in Pollokshields with a shared garden. Available from Jan 2025 - exact date TBD. Leaving date somewhat flexible but this is not a permanent rental. Just looking for clean and neat folk who are sociable and sound. 🙂 Good politics and sense of fairness required! And I love a direct communicator.
Rent is £365, bills are approx £120-145 depending on basically how much we put the heating on (can give you a breakdown for this but it’s mostly council tax as the flat is band F!). You won’t be able to claim housing benefit from here for this short stay unfortunately as you wouldn’t be on the lease. Meat and dairy will be cooked and consumed in the house so you’d have to be okay with that. If you’re interested in cooking for each other here and there that would be lovely. Extra points if you’re gluten free!
There are a few train stations within 3min to 10 min walking distance for trains to Central, and it’s a 5ish minute walk to the main road with plenty of buses. To get to the West End/Glasgow Uni it’s a 20 min walk or a short cycle to the subway.
I’m mostly enjoying being a bit of a homebody just now, cooking good food, watching good films, and getting good sleep, but I love a couple of pints at the local, am not adverse to an occasional party and I’m keen that we’d be able to have pals over for drinks at the weekend here and there.
Accessibility info: There are 2 flights of curved stone steps up to the flat, and 2 steps at the front door. I am quite chill about covid but ideally wouldn’t be catching it every other month so ideally we’ll all be happy to ventilate/mask/isolate as appropriate if it rears its head in our vicinity.
