Description
Looking for someone to take over my place in a lovely second floor 2 bed flat in Woodlands. The flat has a shared kitchen, living room and bathroom. You'd be sharing the flat with my current flatmate Anise. Move in date ideally around December 8th but can be a little flexible either way. Only looking for a new person because I'm leaving Glasgow. (More photos coming tomorrow)
FLATMATE
You'll be sharing with my current flatmate Anise who is 26 and works as a water environmental consultant. Ideally looking for someone planning to stay at least a year and keen to do things together sometimes. She's up for anything along the lines of climbing/cafes/day trips/baking/hikes/bookshops/park sunbathing/restaurants/cooking/easy cycles.
LOCATION
20min walk into Queen Street or Central, 5min to Charing Cross. Lots of nearby bus stops, 8min to the subway and quick drive onto the M8. Lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs nearby, easy walk into town and to Kelvingrove. Council permit parking on the street or several car club options nearby.
MONEY
The flat is £700/month/person. Council tax is £182/month, wifi is £32, bills are a pay as you go meter, gas and electricity have been between about £40 and £100 per month over the past year. All the bills will be split by 2 so ca £141 each on top of rent. Ideally looking for another professional for council tax.
THE FLAT
Bedrooms: You'll be taking over the white room and Anise will take over mine. Planning to leave the beds where they are but the other furniture can be discussed with her. I'll likely take the desk and clothes rail with me so you may need to replace them.
Living room: All furniture will be staying, some of the art and books will come with me. Plenty of space for any art/books/decoration/furniture/plants you have.
Kitchen: Includes a dish washer, washing machine, ceiling clothes rack, plenty of space for food and a working fireplace. Most of the kitchen stuff will be staying but there is room for more.
Bathroom: Shared with Anise.
Hallway: includes two storage cupboards, shoe rack and hooks for a jacket/keys.
Outside: There is a paved garden area shared with the building, some neighbours keep plants and bikes there and you could hang up clothes outside.
The flat was partially furnished when we moved in so I could remove the bed if you'd prefer. The wallpaper isn't perfect in places but they gave us the option to keep it for the freedom to hang things on the walls.
We don't know the neighbours well but everyone seems lovely, it's a family and older adults aside from us. The landlady is lovely, her brother does the repairs and they live locally, we've had no issues at all with them.
