Description

Welcome to your new temporary home :)

I am temporarily renting out my bedroom in my 3-bedroom flat between February and March. Rent is £500 per month, including bills.

Ideally I would sublet the room for around 1 month whilst I am away. Dates tbd in lime with your availability.

Looking for a female flatmate, ideally in her 30s — the golden decade for good chats, plant parenting, and a decent bottle of wine in the cupboard (although some of us are doing dry-January).

The room overlooks the garden. It comes with a double bed, a desk with a chair, an open wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a built-in bookcase, an armchair, and black-out curtains. Duvet, pillows and bedsheets provided. I will remove all my clothes and belongings.

About the flat

It is a 3-bedroom tenement flat (approx 120 years old) with restored hardwood floors, a shared dining and living room with a comfy sofa and armchair, a shared bathroom, a small galley-style kitchen, a small box room that we use as a reading nook/guest bedroom, cupboard space, and a communal garden with seating and a drying line.

The flat has big double-glazed windows, a dishwasher, a washing machine and a dryer. It is on the top (2nd) floor and South-facing, so we get lots of great light when the sun comes out. :)

It is a 7-minute walk to Cessnock Subway station, with easy access to the West End, South Side and city centre. Supermarkets, shops, bus stops, a yoga studio and a climbing centre are within walking distance. Rentable bikes are available right in front of the house. Also, easy to cycle to the West End thanks to the new Govan bridge. The area is safe and friendly, with on-street parking, but it does get busy during match day at Ibrox Stadium.

About Us

You'd be living with Katie (31, Scottish, flight attendant), and Becca (38, English, Pilates instructor), whilst I (Manuela, German, researcher) will be away. We are a friendly and social bunch, plant lovers (!), and like having a cup of tea or occasional meal together, going to yoga or hiking together, whilst also understanding and respecting privacy and alone time. Becca works from home occasionally, and Katie is out a lot because of her work.

About you

We are looking for a flatmate who is friendly, mature, responsible, and clean, to connect and create a friendly, calm, and tidy home with.
Strictly non-smoking, females preferred. Dogs welcome, but no cats because of allergies (sorry!).

I have put quite some work into making the flat nice, and would appreciate someone who also likes to keep it nice.

Get in touch and tell me a bit about yourself, e. g. hobbies, age, experience living with others, and whether you go to an office or work from home (would need to be from your room mostly as the living room is our social space).
